Dry Season Approaches, Bulog Bali's Rice Stock Secure for 10 Months
Bulog’s Bali Regional Office has prepared a stock of 13,000 tonnes of rice to face the dry season that has begun affecting Bali from early March until May 2026.
Manager of Supply Chain and Public Services at Bulog Bali, Eko Yudi Miranto, stated that the current rice stock stands at 13,665 tonnes and is deemed sufficient to meet needs for the next 10 months.
“The stock at Bulog Bali amounts to 13,665 tonnes, enough for the next 10 months, so it remains secure until next year’s harvest season,” said Eko to detikBali on Wednesday (15/4/2026).
As a precautionary measure in case farmer production decreases due to drought, Bulog continues to maximise the absorption of paddy and rice from local farmers.
“Bulog Bali is maximising the daily absorption of paddy/rice to build up stocks as much as possible. Currently, the absorption of paddy/rice remains stable, even tending to increase from the previous month,” he added.
Meanwhile, rice prices in Bali are still monitored as stable and below the Highest Retail Price (HET). To maintain this stability, the Saber Pangan team conducts routine monitoring at markets.
“Rice prices in the Province of Bali remain stable and below the HET. The Saber Pangan team also carries out inspections every day to markets, shops, modern retailers, distributors, and producers to monitor and supervise the availability and stability of staple foods, particularly rice,” he concluded.
