Drunk Man in Tangerang Rapes and Murders Woman

A man with the initials KF murdered and raped a woman, SNA (20), in a rented room in Benda, Tangerang City. The man committed his heinous act while intoxicated.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (11/8) in the Benda area of Tangerang City. The victim was found by her boyfriend, Antoni Rahman, who discovered that she had already died.

Upon finding the victim’s body, Antoni immediately called friends and neighbours from the rented accommodation. Afterwards, the property owner reported the incident to Benda Police.

It did not take long; in less than 24 hours, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Jatanras Sub-directorate managed to arrest the perpetrator. Police said the perpetrator murdered and raped the victim inside the rented room.

“In less than 1x24 hours, the Jatanras Sub-directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate successfully secured one perpetrator of murder and rape inside a rented room in the Benda sub-district, Tangerang City, on 11 August 2026,” said Head of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Jatanras Sub-directorate, AKBP Abdul Rahim, to reporters on Thursday (13/8/2026).

Police also explained that the perpetrator had consumed alcohol beforehand. The heinous act was committed while he was drunk.

“That is correct, the perpetrator was under the influence of alcohol,” he said.

Based on a post from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Jatanras social media account, at the time of the incident the victim’s door was not locked. The perpetrator, who was drunk, then entered the victim’s rented room and carried out his act.

“Based on the initial examination, the perpetrator is suspected of taking advantage of the victim being alone and the perpetrator being under the influence of alcohol. The perpetrator then entered the victim’s unlocked room,” wrote the Jatanras Sub-directorate account.

“When the victim woke up, violence occurred which left the victim helpless, and the perpetrator then committed sexual violence against the victim,” it continued.
