Tangerang — Drug trafficker Erwin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin, the individual who transferred Rp 2.8 billion to former Bima Police Chief AKBP Didik, arrived at Terminal 1C of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Friday, 27 February 2026, after being apprehended in Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra.

According to observations at the location, Ko Erwin arrived at approximately 08:30 Western Indonesian Time under heavy escort by personnel from the Directorate of Narcotics Crime (Dittipidnarkoba) of the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim Polri).

Upon arrival, Ko Erwin wore a short-sleeved grey t-shirt, white long trousers, and black flip-flops. His face was covered with a white surgical mask and black cap. Both hands were handcuffed and covered with black cloth.

Upon reaching the arrival area of Terminal 1C, the three individuals were immediately escorted to a prepared vehicle. Ko Erwin was placed in a black Toyota Kijang Innova with licence plate B 1076 DOP, whilst two other suspects were placed in another black Toyota Kijang Innova.

As he was led to the vehicle, Ko Erwin appeared downcast and made no statement to the media. His hands remained handcuffed and covered with black cloth.

Ko Erwin was apprehended by the Directorate of Narcotics Crime team in Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra, on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at approximately 13:30 Western Indonesian Time. He was allegedly attempting to flee to Malaysia via a maritime route.

Police identified Ko Erwin as a methamphetamine trafficker operating in the Nusa Tenggara Barat region and listed him as a wanted person.

After arriving at Soekarno-Hatta, Ko Erwin was transported to Bareskrim Polri for further questioning.

Previously, the Directorate of Narcotics Crime took over the pursuit of the fugitive in a narcotics case under the name Erwin Iskandar bin Iskandar, commonly known as Ko Erwin.

“It is correct that Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri has assumed the pursuit of wanted person Erwin,” stated Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, in a statement on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

Erwin was designated as a wanted person with reference number DPO/23/II/RES.4.2./2026/Dittipidnarkoba, accompanied by his photograph.

In the wanted person notice, Erwin was suspected of violating Article 114, paragraph (2), read together with Article 132, paragraph (1), and/or Article 137, letter a of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, read together with Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code and Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Penalties Adjustment.

Additionally, he was charged under Article 609, paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, read together with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Penalties Adjustment.
