The Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri has uncovered the practice of narcotics distribution at a nightclub initialled WR in the South Jakarta area. In this revelation, police have named five suspects with roles ranging from waitstaff to dealer.

The Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General of Police Eko Hadi Santoso, confirmed the identities of the suspects: FR and ES alias Ewing, who acted as dealers; RE as supervisor; MHN alias Sean as room captain; and RF alias Kiki, who served as waitstaff.

The case came to light following information from the public regarding drug circulation at the location. Subdit IV of the Narcotics Crime Directorate, along with the NIC Task Force, conducted a thorough investigation by deploying personnel for undercover operations (undercover buy).

During the undercover process, officers initially contacted waitstaff initialled RF alias Kiki to order the illicit goods. Kiki then passed the order to MHN alias Sean, the room captain, who in turn contacted RE, the supervisor.

“After being contacted by Kiki, Sean immediately reached out to RE as supervisor. Upon learning of this, RE contacted FR and informed him of a guest order,” Eko explained in Jakarta on Wednesday (18/3).

Shortly thereafter, suspect FR arrived with the narcotics order and was immediately apprehended by investigators at the scene. From FR’s possession, police seized several crucial pieces of evidence.

“From the examination, 10 pink ecstasy pills wrapped in clip plastic bags were found, along with two pods suspected to contain etomidate liquid,” he added.

Interrogation of FR revealed that the illicit goods were obtained from his associate, ES alias Ewing. Ewing was known as the person who recruited FR to work at the WR nightclub specifically to deliver narcotics orders to guest rooms.

The narcotics were supplied by a controller initialled UKM alias Koko. Based on the suspects’ statements, Ewing and FR split the stock of illicit goods and stored them in their respective safes for distribution within WR.

“From the initial interrogation of Ewing, he obtained the goods from a UKM known as Koko. FR and Ewing were paid Rp15 million by Koko,” Eko revealed.

In addition to seizing the ecstasy, police who searched all rooms at WR found remnants of ketamine powder, as well as used balloons and whipping gas from visitors. These items were also discovered stored in the kitchen area.

Eko emphasised that the WR nightclub is not the first time it has been embroiled in such cases. His office has previously conducted operations to uncover drug distribution at the same location.

For further investigation purposes, the suspects along with the evidence have been brought to the Narcotics Directorate at Police Headquarters for case development to pursue the figure “Koko,” suspected to be the main supplier.
