Drug Syndicate Courier Arrested for Delivering Methamphetamine to Police Officer
Police have arrested Akhsan Al-Fadhil alias Genda (52), a drug courier for trafficker Erwin Iskandar alias Koh Erwin, who is implicated in the narcotics case involving former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police Headquarters (Bareskrim), stated that Genda was arrested by investigators on Tuesday 24 February at a food stall located on Jalan SM Amin, Pekanbaru, Riau at approximately 22:00 WIB.
“The courier played a role in the narcotics syndicate run by Erwin Iskandar,” he said in a written statement on Sunday 1 March. Eko explained that the arrest occurred whilst a combined team was pursuing Koh Erwin, who remains a fugitive. He noted that based on field findings, Genda was also involved in planning Erwin’s escape to Malaysia via illegal maritime routes.
“Based on initial interrogation of Akhsan Al-Fadhil alias Genda, the individual admitted to collaborating with Erwin alias Koh Erwin in the distribution of methamphetamine in the Bima region, West Nusa Tenggara,” he stated.
He said the two had previously transported methamphetamine totalling 500 grams and 1 kilogram, obtained from a figure known as “Bos Aceh” (the Aceh Boss), for subsequent distribution in the Bima region, West Nusa Tenggara.
The methamphetamine was transported from Jakarta to Bima via land route using a black Toyota Raize vehicle owned by Koh Erwin. Upon arrival in Bima, the contraband was stored in a hotel.
“Subsequently, 500 grams of methamphetamine was collected by AKP Maulangi in his capacity as Head of Narcotics at Bima City Police. Meanwhile, 1 kilogram of methamphetamine was collected by an individual named Awan, who remains a fugitive,” he explained.
Police also seized several additional pieces of evidence including two mobile phones and cash totalling Rp2,360,000.
“The suspect Akhsan Al-Fadhil alias Genda, together with evidence, was subsequently brought and secured by the Team from Sub-Directorate IV of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri together with the NIC Task Force to be brought to the office for further questioning regarding the narcotics distribution network,” he concluded.
Previously, the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri arrested KE alias Koh Erwin, the drug trafficker who supplied both money and narcotics to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Erwin was arrested whilst fleeing via an illegal maritime route to Malaysia from Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra. He allegedly resisted arrest and had to be subdued by officers.
The Koh Erwin network reportedly transferred Rp1 billion to Didik through his subordinate AKP Maulangi, Head of Narcotics at Bima City Police. This money was received by Didik during the period from June to November 2025.
Currently, Didik has been dismissed dishonourably (PTDH) from the police force. Additionally, he has been detained in custody.
