Drug supplier and financier of former Bima police chief AKBP Didik arrested
The Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim Polri) has successfully apprehended Erwin Iskandar, known as Koh Erwin, a suspected supplier of money and narcotics to former Bima Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Koh Erwin, who had previously been listed as a wanted person (DPO), was captured in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra on Thursday (26 February) whilst attempting to cross into Malaysia. “The suspect was arrested whilst attempting to flee using a boat headed to Malaysia,” said Head of the NIC Task Force at Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri Kombes Pol Kevin Leleury, speaking upon arrival at Terminal 1C of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten on Friday.
During the arrest operation, officers also apprehended two additional suspects, identified as A alias Y and R alias K, who allegedly assisted Koh Erwin’s escape to Malaysia to evade police capture. “Suspect A alias Y was arrested in Riau, whilst R alias K was arrested in Tanjung Balai alongside Erwin,” Leleury stated.
The suspects offered minor resistance during the arrest, but officers successfully apprehended them. “There was some resistance, but minimal—we were able to handle it,” he said.
Leleury confirmed that Koh Erwin is a major methamphetamine trafficker in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and is suspected of supplying both money and narcotics to AKBP Didik. Further details regarding their connection are expected to be disclosed during a formal press briefing.
