Drug Kingpin Ko Erwin Listed as Wanted, Now Hunted by the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit

The Directorate of Narcotics Crimes at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) has issued a wanted person (DPO) status for a drug kingpin named Erwin Iskandar, also known as Ko Erwin. The pursuit of Ko Erwin is now being handled by Bareskrim.

“It is true that the Directorate of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim has taken over the pursuit of the wanted person, Erwin,” said the Director of Narcotics at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, in a statement on Thursday (February 26, 2026).

The issuance of Ko Erwin’s DPO status is outlined in the DPO/23/II/RES.4.2./2026/Dittipidnarkoba letter.

“Erwin Iskandar bin Iskandar is to be monitored/arrested/surrendered/information regarding his whereabouts is to be provided to the investigator, AKBP Agung Prabowo, A.Md, at the aforementioned police station,” the DPO letter reads.

Erwin Iskandar is known to reside in several locations, including Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara; Gowa, South Sulawesi; Ujung Tanah, South Sulawesi; and Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Ko Erwin is 167 cm tall, weighs approximately 85 kilograms, and has brown skin.

Ko Erwin is a wanted person in connection with a drug case that also involves former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro and former Head of the Bima City Police’s Narcotics Unit AKP Malaungi.

Ko Erwin is alleged to have given Rp 1 billion to AKBP Didik in exchange for being able to distribute methamphetamine. Ko Erwin transferred the money to an account controlled by Malaungi.
