“In this case, we secured a man with the initials FAA who is suspected of being involved in drug trafficking. From the suspect, police seized dozens of packets of methamphetamine with a total gross weight reaching 12.17 grams,” said Narcotics Unit Head AKP Agus Priyanto to Media Indonesia on Friday (12/6).

He explained that the case came to light following a tip-off from the public received by officers around 12:30 Central Indonesian Time (WITA) regarding suspected drug trafficking activities in the Bugis Village area. “After receiving the information from the public, members of the Narcotics Unit immediately conducted an investigation to verify the accuracy of the information,” he stated.

Following the investigation, at around 16:00 WITA, officers successfully apprehended FAA in the Bugis Village area. From the search, police discovered 22 small packets suspected of containing Category 1 methamphetamine. Police also seized several other items. “In addition to the methamphetamine, police secured a bundle of small plastic clips, a white plastic bag, a methamphetamine spoon, a black handbag, a mobile phone, and a motorcycle believed to be connected to the criminal activity,” Agus stated.
