Drug convicts walk freely

Drug abuse is a serious issue in East Java. Yet those
convicted of drug-related crimes are never put behind bars.
Ironically, although they have been sentenced, they remain free.
Aik, otherwise known as Eddy Brewok or Eddy Susanto, currently
under arrest in Jakarta, is a good example. In Surabaya, Aik got
7.5 years in jail but he was free to travel as he pleased and was
later caught again.

BD Benny Chan, who has been sentenced to five years in prison
and whose appeal has been rejected, has yet to be detained.
