Drug Case at South Jakarta Club: Owner and Manager Arrested
The Narcotics Criminal Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) of Bareskrim Polri continues to investigate the drug trafficking case at a nightclub in South Jakarta. Police have now arrested two additional suspects: the owner and the operational manager of the entertainment venue.
Bareskrim Polri’s Narcotics Criminal Director, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, revealed that the two newly arrested suspects are Alex Kurniawan (42), the owner and director, and Yaser Leopold Talahatu (38), the operational manager.
These arrests build on the earlier detention of five suspects: two dealers, Farid Ridwan and Erwin Septian, as well as three venue employees, Rully Endrae (supervisor), Memo Hasian Nababan alias Sean (captain), and Rizky Fridayanti alias Kiki (waitress).
“Based on examinations of the employee suspects, information was obtained indicating management involvement,” Eko stated in his remarks on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
Eko explained that Yaser Leopold Talahatu played a role in approving drug orders from guests via waiters or servers. Meanwhile, Alex Kurniawan, as director, was aware of and approved the practice, even providing security assurances to keep the activities running.
“The approvals were conveyed during a briefing at a restaurant in the Alam Sutera area, South Tangerang,” Eko disclosed.
Following these findings, led by Deputy Head of Subdirectorate IV of Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri, Commissioner Handik Zusen, and the NIC Task Force under Commissioner Kevin Leleury, a pursuit was launched for the two suspects.
Yaser was arrested on Wednesday (18/3) around 4:45 PM WIB at RSUD dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid in Bekasi. Alex was apprehended on the same day around 10:30 PM WIB in North Serpong, South Tangerang.
Based on interrogations, Yaser admitted to knowing about the drug distribution since late November 2025. He also frequently received confirmations from the supervisor regarding guest orders.
“Yaser also admitted that suspect Rully, as supervisor, always confirmed with him when guests wanted to order and buy narcotics,” Eko said.
Meanwhile, Alex acknowledged that the practice had been ongoing since 2024. It was noted that the illegal activities were coordinated by a man known as Koko.
“The suspect also admitted to allowing the drug distribution to continue with the intent and purpose of keeping the entertainment venue bustling with customers,” Eko explained.
Currently, both suspects are being held at the Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri office for intensive examinations. Eko assured that the team will continue to develop the drug distribution network.
“This includes tracing financial flows and potential money laundering crimes,” Eko concluded.
The seven suspects in this case are as follows:
Farid Ridwan (38), as the narcotics supplier and distributor;
Rully Endrae (41), as the supervisor who called Ridwan if there were drug orders from guests after being contacted and assessed by Yaser;
Memo Hasian Nababan alias Sean (27), as the captain who called the supervisor to assess guests ordering drugs;
Rizky Fridayanti alias Kiki (23), as the waitress who called the captain if guests wanted to order narcotics;
Erwin Septian alias Ewing (36), as the dealer or supplier of drugs;
Alex Kurniawan (42), as the owner and director;
Yaser Leopold Talahatu (38), as the operational manager.
