PT Dharma Polimetal Tbk (IDX: DRMA) is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) component portfolio through the formation of a joint venture with Minth Group, a global automotive component manufacturing company.

The two companies have formed a joint venture named PT Dharma Minth Indonesia, which will focus on producing EV components to meet the needs of various automotive brands in the global market.

President Director of Dharma Polimetlar, Irianto Santoso, stated that the formation of this joint venture is DRMA’s move to capture the growing market for electric vehicle components as EV usage continues to rise.

“As the trend of electric vehicle usage continues to develop, we see that the market for these types of components is also steadily expanding. To capture these growing market opportunities, DRMA is partnering with Minth Group as a strategic partner by forming this joint venture,” Irianto said in a statement on Wednesday (16/09/2026).

Through Dharma Minth Indonesia, DRMA will add to its product portfolio with items not previously produced by the Dharma Group. The focus of the joint venture will include Battery Housing, Body & Chassis Structure with Aluminium Extrusion, and Plastic Component Design.

According to Irianto, the partnership with Minth Group also provides DRMA with the opportunity to expand its customer base. Minth Group is known to be a partner to more than 80 renowned brands in the global automotive component industry.

“Our hope is that this strategic partnership will also open opportunities for DRMA to penetrate new customer segments,” he added.

Dharma Minth Indonesia will utilise the existing production facilities owned by the Dharma Group. The joint venture’s factory is located in the MM2100 Industrial Town, Cibitung, and is scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of 2027.

The initial investment value for this joint venture reaches IDR 45 billion. In terms of shareholding structure, Minth Group holds a 51% stake, while the Dharma Group holds 49%.

Irianto is optimistic that the collaboration will not only expand DRMA’s product portfolio but also provide strategic benefits for the company’s business development.

“We are optimistic that, at the very least, this cooperation will provide two positive benefits for the Dharma Group: technology transfer and the creation of a new revenue growth engine,” Irianto concluded.
