Driving licence renewals available at multiple locations in Jakarta on Wednesday

Jakarta — The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Jakarta Metro Police is providing mobile Driving Licence (SIM) services across four regions of Jakarta on Wednesday to ease residents seeking to extend the validity of their driving privileges.

The Jakarta Metro Police announced via their X account @tmcpoldametro that the mobile SIM facilities will operate from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB at the following locations:

East Jakarta: Front lobby of Mall Grand Cakung

West Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok and South lobby of Mall Ciputra

South Jakarta: Parking area adjacent to Universitas Trilogi

Central Jakarta: Parking area of Lapangan Banteng Post Office

The mobile SIM services only facilitate renewals for valid licences in certain categories, specifically Class A and Class C driving licences. Should a licence’s validity period have expired, the holder must submit a new SIM application at locations designated by the police.

Regarding renewal costs, according to Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 concerning Types and Rates of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the Indonesian National Police, the renewal fee is Rp80,000 for Class A and Rp75,000 for Class C licences.

In addition to these fees, applicants must also pay additional charges for psychology testing and health examination through the Simpel Pol application.
