Driver Who Crashed into Jusuf Kalla's Child's House Fence Suspected of Drowsy Driving
Police suspect that a woman identified by the initials HP (35) was in a drowsy state whilst driving her vehicle when it crashed into the fence of a house belonging to a child of the 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK), on Jalan Brawijaya, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
Head of Public Relations for the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Chief Commissioner Murodih, suspected that the driver lost control due to drowsiness, causing the Hyundai Santa Fe she was driving to crash into the fence of JK’s child’s house.
“The driver was probably drowsy, so she went out of control,” he told reporters on Wednesday (18 February).
Murodih had not yet disclosed the full chronology of the incident. He only mentioned that the driver was on her way home to the Jagakarsa area at the time.
“We’re still looking into the direction and circumstances. What is clear is that the person who crashed lives in Jagakarsa and was planning to return home,” he said.
Furthermore, Murodih stated that the driver identified by the initials HP would undergo mediation to arrange repairs for the damage to the fence.
“The plan is for there to be mediation regarding the repair of the damage there,” he said.
Earlier, a car driven by a woman identified by the initials HP (35) crashed into the fence of the house belonging to the 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, on Jalan Brawijaya, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (18 February) morning.
“It is correct that we received information about the fence-crashing incident at the house. It happened early this morning, at approximately 3.45am Western Indonesian Time, if I’m not mistaken,” Murodih told reporters.
