Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 1,945 children of drivers and employees will receive educational scholarships in 2026, including children with special needs who are receiving support to continue their education from primary school through to university.

“Drivers and employees are the most important part of Blue Bird Group’s journey. Therefore, we believe that support for them must also reach their families and the future of their children,” said the President Director of PT Blue Bird Tbk, Adrianto Djokosoetono, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

By 2026, the programme will have reached approximately 70,000 cumulative beneficiaries. In addition to educational assistance, scholarship recipients also participate in self-development programmes consisting of skills training, motivational reinforcement, and introduction to the professional world to prepare them for their next educational and career stages.

One of the scholarship recipients, Annisya Rizky Novalia, stated that the educational assistance she has received since 2016 has served as an incentive to complete her education through to high school graduation.

“This scholarship means a lot to me and my family. Seeing my father work hard every day as a driver, I learned that opportunities must be maintained with effort,” said Annable.

According to her, the support not only helps alleviate educational costs but also motivates her to continue learning and planning for the future. Currently, Annisya, along with two of her siblings who also received scholarships, works as a civil servant (PNS).

The scholarship programme serves as a form of support for the educational sustainability of workers’ families, while simultaneously promoting more inclusive educational access through learning opportunities for children from various backgrounds, including persons with disabilities and children with special needs.
