Rizky said he rejected the settlement offer. ‘As for talks of settlement, the offender had already spoken of settling. But we will still proceed with the legal process,’ he told reporters on Thursday (21 May 2026).

Rizky described the moments of the assault by the suspect. He said the incident began after he honked the horn at the driver; the suspect then got out of the car and immediately threatened him. ‘As soon as he got out of the car, there were threats. During the incident the attacker suddenly struck me as I was getting out of the car, with no warning or words,’ he explained.

He also said the suspect damaged his car. After the damage, he did not pay it any mind and continued his journey. ‘The damage happened very quickly, about a minute. After the damage I simply drove off and did not react,’ he added.

Motivation: Police had previously revealed the motive of RG (40), who beat Rizky. The suspect claimed he was angry because his child woke up due to the honking. ‘So if the motive is that the suspect was emotional and carrying a baby in the car,’ said Gunung Putri Police Chief Kompol Aulia Robby. The police said the suspect’s child in the car woke up after the horn; the suspect became emotional and, as a father, wanted to protect his child, which led him to strike the victim. ‘Thus his child woke up and his dignity as a father to protect his child led the suspect to feel emotional,’ he said.

The incident occurred on Sunday (17 May) early morning. After the assault, the victim reported the incident to the police.
