Drive regreens sizeable forest

JAKARTA: Minister of Forestry M. Prakosa said on Thursday that a nationwide regreening campaign had succeeded in restoring over 300,000 hectares of forest.

The minister said that the campaign had successfully rejuvenated mangrove forests and water catchment areas in 15 provinces.

The ministry has planned to widen the program to include another 500,000 deforested areas in 31 provinces by the end of this year. -- Antara
