HIROSHIMA, Japan (AFP): World Cup participants South Korea
will take on China, while Saudi Arabia will play Kuwait in the
opening games of the Hiroshima Asian Games men's football
tournament in October.

At a draw meeting held here Wednesday, 22 men's teams were
divided into five groups in the preliminary round robin first
stage with one of the top five countries leading each group.

The Beijing Asian Games gold medalist, Iran, will meet Oman in
their first match spearheading Group A, which also includes
Uzbekistan, Bahrain and Yemen.

Thailand, fourth place finisher at the Beijing Games, was
drawn against United Arab Emirates, Turkmenistan, India and
Mongolia in Group B, while bronze winner South Korea will also
play Kazakhstan and Indonesia in Group C.
