Draft Regional Regulations on Environmental Management and Family Development Enter Ministry of Home Affairs Facilitation Stage
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Draft Regional Regulations (Raperda) regarding the Environmental Protection and Management Plan (RPLLH) and the Draft Regional Regulation on Family Development have now entered the facilitation stage with the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
The Chairman of the Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, stated that following the facilitation stage, both draft regulations can be officially ratified through a plenary session. “These draft regulations were created because there is a genuine need on the ground,” he said in Jakarta on Monday.
Khoirudin explained that both drafts were approved during the Joint Leadership Meeting (Rapimgab) of the Jakarta DPRD, following reports from the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda). Once the facilitation by the Ministry of Home Affairs is complete, the regulations will proceed to be enacted as regional laws (Perda).
He further explained that the preparation of the RPPLH draft was based on real societal needs, particularly regarding increasingly complex environmental issues. The regulation is considered vital for clarifying the rights and obligations of both the government and the public in environmental management, especially when facing future developmental challenges. “We want to ensure there are rights and obligations within society and the state for the citizens of Jakarta, involving both the government and the community,” he remarked.
Khoirudin added that the drafting of these regulations is not merely an administrative exercise but is intended for practical implementation. “The regional regulations we are creating must be geared towards execution,” he said.
Additionally, the meeting discussed the Draft Regional Regulation on Family Development. This strategic regulation is viewed as a foundation for community development. Khoirudin emphasised that the existence of this regulation will provide legal protection for the rights and obligations of every family member. “Because the family is the core of society. In the future, families can be guaranteed and protected,” he concluded.
