Dr Tifa Asks for Prayers After Arrest by Polda Metro, Here Is Her Current Condition

Social media activist and suspect in the alleged fake diploma case of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Dr Tifa, was arrested by Polda Metro Jaya investigators on Friday morning, 19 June 2026. Information regarding the arrest was also conveyed directly by Dr Tifa via a post on her personal social media. In her statement, she said the arrest occurred precisely as she was facing her doctoral (S3) examination. “Exactly when I was facing my S3 exam. Today, Friday 19 June 2026, I was arrested, Polda,” wrote Dr Tifa. She stated that, under strict guard, she was granted permission to attend the examination that had been scheduled for the morning. “I asked for permission to take the exam this morning at 08.00 WIB, and it was granted under strict guard. I ask for prayers from all my fellow countrymen and women,” she said. News of the arrest was previously disclosed by her legal counsel, Aziz Yanuar. Based on the information he received, Dr Tifa was taken into custody from her apartment in the morning.
