Dr Tifa Arrested, Still Takes Doctoral Exam at Polda Metro Jaya

Dr Tifa was reportedly arrested by police on Friday morning, 19 June 2026. According to information received by VIVA.co.id, the arrest took place around 6.47 a.m. WIB at her apartment. After being detained, Dr Tifa was immediately taken to Polda Metro Jaya for further processing. The action is suspected to be related to the case of an alleged fake diploma belonging to Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), which is currently being handled by investigators. A photo received by the editorial team shows Dr Tifa in a room at Polda Metro Jaya. In the documentation, she appears to be in front of a laptop. According to information, Dr Tifa was taking a doctoral programme (S3) examination for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Indonesia (FKUI). Meanwhile, the Dr Tifa Defence Team (TPDT) confirmed with the investigator handling the case at 7.23 a.m. WIB. ‘It is confirmed that the police action carried out this morning constitutes an arrest,’ said Dr Tifa’s legal counsel. As of now, there has been no official statement from the police regarding the reason or legal basis for the action, as Tifa had been compliant in fulfilling her mandatory reporting obligations at Polda Metro up until last week. For context, Dr Tifa has been named a suspect in the case related to the fake diploma allegations against the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
