Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Legislation Body (Baleg) of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) is scheduled to draft 11 Bills (RUU) during the Fifth Session of the 2025-2026 Parliamentary Year, ranging from the Wiretapping Bill to the One Data Indonesia Bill.

Baleg Chairman of the DPR, Bob Hasan, stated that these bills are priorities that must be completed promptly. However, he noted that the schedule for drafting meetings for these bills is flexible.

“This also includes the One Data Indonesia Bill, which we must push every day, because the One Data Indonesia is indeed very much needed as a central hub for national development planning,” said Bob at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He listed the 11 bills to be drafted as: the Strategic Commodities Bill, the Aceh Governance Bill, the Wiretapping Bill, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bill, the Textile Bill, and the Indigenous Peoples Bill.

Additionally, the Drinking Water and Sanitation Management Bill, the One Data Indonesia Bill, the Freelance Workers Bill, the Indonesian Platform Bill, and the Gig Economy Workers Protection Bill.

Among these bills, he expressed a desire for some to be completed. Therefore, according to him, carefulness and thoroughness are needed in the daily drafting process.

He explained that the One Data Indonesia Bill has now been drafted up to 50 articles from a total draft of 130 articles. Furthermore, according to him, the Aceh Governance Bill is only a few articles away from completion.

“Then also the Indigenous Peoples Bill; we might start drafting it, whether in mid or late May, drafting and discussing the draft,” he said.

In addition, he mentioned the addition of the Oil and Gas Bill. According to him, this bill will also begin processing, starting with a General Public Hearing (RDPU).

“We have agreed together that the agenda schedule for the fifth session, from 12 May to 21 July, has been scheduled and agreed upon,” he said.
