DPR's Habiburokhman Pledges Full Support for New Acting Jampidsus Rudi Margono
House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III member Habiburokhman has pledged full support for Rudi Margono in his temporary role as Acting Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). He stated that the responsibility is significant but expressed confidence in Margono’s integrity and track record.
“Your task is heavy, but we support you fully. We love the Attorney General’s Office,” Habiburokhman said at the DPR complex in Jakarta on Saturday, 11 July 2026. The Gerindra Party politician also urged Margono to safeguard the institution’s dignity and warned against any further betrayal of public trust by state officials.
This appointment follows the resignation of Febrie Adriansyah, who was subsequently named a suspect in three corruption cases involving PT Asabri, PT Krakatau Steel, and a coal supply scandal that caused power outages in Sumatra. The case files have been transferred from the police to the Attorney General’s Office.
Acting Jampidsus Rudi Margono stated that his office would immediately examine Febrie Adriansyah regarding the three corruption allegations. He confirmed that the technical handover of the case had been received and that his team would study the evidence and material facts in coordination with the Corruption Eradication Task Force.
