Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives’ Commission I, Utut Adianto, stated that his side is currently scheduling a Working Meeting with Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin to discuss the three fallen TNI soldiers during their duties in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Lebanon, following Israel’s attack on southern Lebanon. He mentioned that the meeting is hoped to reveal the true facts.

“Well, we’re scheduling it, because he’s not unwilling, sometimes his schedule is already set a month in advance, so we’ll see, the important thing is that the meeting is straightforward and can uncover the facts so we don’t make mistaken policies,” Utut said at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday (6/4/2026).

Utut said the meeting with the Defence Minister is not only related to geopolitical issues. He conveyed deep condolences over the deaths of the TNI soldiers in Lebanon.

“No, it’s not just geopolitics. Yes, the fallen soldiers, we all grieve. Hopefully, there will be no more deaths,” Utut stated.

He also touched on the water-throwing case. Utut does not want similar cases to happen again.

“And also, hopefully, how our stance should be so that the water-throwing case doesn’t repeat. That’s roughly the agenda,” Utut said.

“But we can’t force it, we have to wait for his availability. His time availability, if it’s the person, he’s certainly willing,” he added.

Previously, President Prabowo farewelled the remains of the three soldiers who died in the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The three fallen soldiers are Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Sergeant Major Muhammad Nur Ikhwan, and Private Farizal Rhomadhon.
