JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The House of Representatives’ Legislation Body (Baleg) of the Republic of Indonesia has agreed to revise the 2026 Priority National Legislation Programme (Prolegnas) by adding five new draft laws (RUU).

Baleg Chairman of the DPR RI, Bob Hasan, stated that the addition resulted from discussions among the DPR, the government, and the DPD RI.

“Based on our discussions, both from government ministries, I mean, and also the DPD RI’s PPU, it was proposed in Baleg yesterday from the leadership that there is an addition of one RUU on housing and settlement areas,” said Bob Hasan during the evaluation meeting of the 2026 Priority Prolegnas with the government and DPD RI on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

Thus, Bob Hasan continued, there are four new RUU in the 2026 priority prolegnas with the status of DPR initiative proposals.

“Namely the RUU on Broadcasting, RUU on Curator Professions, RUU on amendments to Law Number 32 of 2009 on environmental protection and management, and of course the last one, the RUU on housing and settlement areas,” he said.

Baleg also included one RUU as a government initiative in the 2026 priority changes, namely the RUU on Auctions.

“Without assets, Pak, just Auctions. So what was previously with assets becomes just auctions,” said Bob Hasan.

In that meeting, Baleg also agreed to changes in several nomenclatures and proposal statuses of other RUU that have entered the 2026 priority prolegnas list.

The Customary Law Communities RUU was agreed to be changed to the Indigenous Peoples RUU.

“So that is what we have agreed together, which of course we will read out in the upcoming plenary session,” said Bob Hasan.
