The Special Committee on Parking (Pansus) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD considers the involvement of the Financial Audit Board (BPK) crucial in probing the alleged leakage of parking revenue in the Blok M area, South Jakarta.

“We are firm and consistent in recommending to law enforcement authorities, including the BPK, to conduct an audit,” stated Ahmad Lukman Jupiter, Chairman of the DPRD DKI Jakarta Pansus on Parking, when confirmed by Kompas.com via telephone on Tuesday (12/5/2026).

According to Jupiter, BPK’s involvement is necessary because the management of parking in the Blok M area is directly related to local government assets.

“Why involve the BPK? Because it involves local government assets,” he said.

In addition to the BPK, the pansus also plans to involve the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) to trace alleged irregularities in parking management in the area.

According to Jupiter, these steps are being taken because the parking managers are deemed uncooperative in opening up the financial data requested by the DPRD during the pansus meeting on parking governance.

“We will open communication with the high prosecutor’s office for investigation and inquiry. Then let the high prosecutor’s office request it from this third party,” he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta DPRD revealed allegations that parking contributions to the local government in the Blok M area do not reach 60 percent of the actual turnover.

The DPRD DKI Jakarta Pansus on Parking also admitted that it does not yet know where the flow of the remaining parking revenue, which is allegedly not entering the Regional Revenue (PAD), is going, because transaction data and financial documents have not been fully opened by the managers.

In the pansus meeting, the DPRD has requested several documents such as financial reports, company balance sheets, account mutations, and proof of tax payments. However, this data has not been provided completely.

The DKI Jakarta DPRD suspects that the state has suffered losses of up to Rp 50 billion over approximately 15 years of parking management in the Blok M area by the operator Best Parking.
