DPRD Member's Home in Bogor Regency Narrowly Spared from Burglary Attempt

A home belonging to a member of the Bogor Regency DPRD located in Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency, West Java, narrowly avoided being broken into by thieves. The perpetrators fled when the house guard became suspicious.

In a video circulating on Saturday (28 February 2026), two perpetrators were seen arriving on a motorcycle. The incident occurred on Friday (27 February).

One perpetrator dismounted from the motorcycle and attempted to break through the fence. The other remained on the motorcycle.

However, the perpetrators’ actions were detected by the house guard. The guard shouted, causing both perpetrators to flee in panic.

“From early morning, an investigation has been underway. For the incident itself, one of my Bhabinkamtibmas personnel is handling it,” said Cisarua Police Chief Kompol Budi Suratman.

Suratman stated that the house is indeed guarded every evening. So when the perpetrators attempted to break in, they immediately fled upon seeing someone.

“The house is guarded every night, and as soon as they saw people inside, they ran away,” he explained.

The perpetrators fled the moment they began attempting to open the fence. Nevertheless, the police continue to conduct investigations and pursue the perpetrators.

“They had only just started to open the door when there are many Civil Police, Transportation Officials inside the house, so it was just an attempted break-in. I also confirmed with him this morning. Yes, we are conducting investigations and further inquiries; we will follow up on any information, no matter how small,” he concluded.
