DPRD Bogor Chair: Inauguration a Momentum to Strengthen Bureaucratic Performance
INFO TEMPO – The Speaker of the Bogor City Council, Adityawarman Adil, attended the inauguration of high-ranking officials, functional officials and school heads within the Bogor City Government on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
At the inauguration, a number of high-ranking official posts were formally filled on a definitive basis. Among them, Rudi Mashudi was sworn in as Head of the Bogor City Environmental Agency (DLH), while Pupung officially took office as Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP) of Bogor City. In addition, Rudiyana was inaugurated as Expert Staff to the Mayor, alongside hundreds of functional officials and school heads.
Adityawarman Adil conveyed his congratulations to the newly appointed heads of agencies. “We congratulate and wish success to Mr Rudi Mashudi, who has now been inaugurated as Head of the Environmental Agency, and Mr Pupung as Kasatpol PP of Bogor City,” said Adityawarman Adil.
He hoped the inauguration would serve as a momentum to strengthen the performance of the apparatus and drive better regional development. “May you always be given ease and smoothness in carrying out this mandate. Congratulations on undertaking this responsibility to improve public services in your respective sectors for the sake of our beloved residents of Bogor City.”
On the same occasion, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim expressed hope that the newly inaugurated officials would be able to meet public expectations through improved performance. In particular, he placed his hopes on the new Kasatpol PP to strengthen the enforcement of public order and the management of street vendors (PKL).
“Pupung has already carried out the duties of Acting Kasatpol PP for several months. With that experience, I am confident that going forward he can carry out his duties wholeheartedly and maximise his existing authority. So there is no need for doubt any more — in future, city order will run better,” he said.
In the environmental sector, Dedie assessed that Rudi Mashudi also faces no easy challenge. He asked Rudi to continue the foundations of waste management laid previously, including overseeing the development of the Waste-to-Energy (PSEL) project.
As scheduled, the Bogor City Government will carry out the groundbreaking of the PSEL project on 8 July 2026. The physical construction process is projected to take an intensive one and a half years.
However, Dedie reminded that the success of the PSEL project is not merely a matter of physical technological readiness, but also of human resource readiness. The Environmental Agency is strongly required to educate the public so that waste sorting from upstream becomes a habit using the 3R principle, starting directly from households.
Regarding other structural positions that remain vacant, the Bogor City Government confirmed that the competency test process is ongoing and is expected to take one to two more weeks before a follow-up inauguration is held. (*)
