DPR Urges Police to Thoroughly Investigate Matraman Clash That Killed One
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Nasyirul Falah Amru has urged the police to thoroughly investigate a clash between residents in the Matraman area, Jakarta, on Sunday (26/7), which led to the destruction of buildings and vehicles, and resulted in one fatality. He expressed regret and concern over the incident, stating that the case could have been anticipated as similar events have repeatedly occurred in the location. “I am very confident that the police, in this case the Regional Police Chief, can resolve this issue, and of course, we highly expect the professionalism of the police force,” Falah said in Jakarta on Monday. “Whatever the reason, what they did is not justified in the eyes of the law,” he added.
