DPR Urges New BGN Chief Sudaryono to Clarify Fate of Prematurely Built Nutrition Service Units

A member of the House of Representatives (DPR) has urged the new leadership of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to promptly establish communication with partners regarding the fate of Nutrition Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG) that have already been constructed. President Prabowo Subianto recently appointed Sudaryono as the definitive head of BGN following the resignation of Nanik S. Deyang. However, several SPPG facilities remain non-operational due to a lack of confirmed cooperation from the agency. Commission IX member Edy Wuryanto insisted on clear communication, stating that if the facilities are still needed, the cooperation must be finalised immediately. He added that if the number of kitchens in a particular area exceeds the number of beneficiaries, the government must find a suitable solution. Sudaryono, following his official inauguration, has prioritised improving governance, acknowledging fundamental problems in the institution’s management system, particularly concerning transparency and accountability.
