DPR to Discuss Asset Forfeiture, Manpower Bills During Recess
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, has revealed that a number of commissions have requested permission to continue discussing several draft laws during the parliamentary recess. Among the priority bills is the Asset Forfeiture Bill.
“Several commissions have requested permission to continue discussing draft laws during the recess. That includes the Asset Forfeiture Bill, which Commission III has been deliberating for the past two months and is now receiving public participation,” Dasco said after a plenary session at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
He added that the One Data Indonesia Bill and the Road Traffic and Transportation Bill are also on the agenda. Furthermore, the relevant commission is seeking to schedule meetings with labour unions to discuss the Manpower Bill.
“The Manpower Bill is also on the list. The commission has requested to be put in touch with labour stakeholders,” Dasco stated.
