DPR RI: Dadan Hindayana's Hard Work in Achieving SPPG Targets Deserves Appreciation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Irma Suryani Chaniago, a member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), stated that the hard work of the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Duta Dadan Hindayana, in achieving the development targets for Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) during his tenure from 2025 until 2 June 2026, deserves appreciation.
Irma made these remarks in response to the replacement of the Head of the BGN by President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta on Tuesday (3/6) evening. Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, who previously served as the Deputy Head of the BGN for Public Communication and Investigation, has now officially assumed the role of Head of the BGN, replacing Dadan Hindayana.
Irma expressed hope that the hard work of Nanik S. Deyang, who has been consistent in conducting sudden inspections of SPPGs or Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) kitchens that are non-compliant or fail to meet standard operating procedures, should continue.
“This must persist so that the President’s target of providing nutritious meals to Indonesian children can be achieved, thereby increasing children’s IQ and immunity,” she explained.
Furthermore, she added that with proper menu control, the DPR RI hopes that SPPGs can provide the necessary food according to the nutritional quality required for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers, in order to prevent stunting births.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto removed Dadan Hindayana as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), effective from 2 June 2026. The Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as the Spokesperson for the President, announced the removal during a press conference at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Tuesday evening.
“Today, Tuesday, 2 June 2026, the President has made the decision to change the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency,” said Prasetyo.
