DPR Reveals Attractiveness of PFII Ready to Compete with Dubai
Based on Law Number 4 of 2026 regarding the Amendment to Law Number 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (P2SK), the Indonesian government is preparing to realise the formation of the Indonesia International Financial Centre (PFII).
The Chairman of Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Mukhamad Misbakhun, stated that the PFII will be equipped with facilities such as tax exemptions and special treatments, legal specificities that adopt international principles and standards, and rapid and thorough dispute resolution. These features are expected to attract global investors and business players to establish financial sectors, holding companies, venture capital, and banking operations.
The PFII is designed with enough appeal to compete with Dubai, which offers the security of a financial centre alongside significant business potential and complete infrastructure.
Misbakhun emphasised the government’s efforts to boost Indonesia’s investment attractiveness, noting that the nation’s economic fundamentals remain very strong. Consequently, the House of Representatives invites investors to invest in Indonesia.
