The Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani announced that the DPR leadership has received three presidential letters (Surpres) from President Prabowo Subianto.

“We must inform you that the council leadership has received letters from the president,” Puan stated during the 16th plenary session of the DPR’s fourth session of the 2025-2026 parliamentary term held at the DPR on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

The first presidential letter, numbered R-06, concerns discussion of a draft bill on the protection of witnesses and victims.

The second letter, numbered R-07, concerns a draft bill on cyber security and resilience.

The third letter, numbered R-08, concerns ratification of approval for a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Canada.

“These letters have been and will be followed up in accordance with the provisions of DPR RI Regulation No. 1 of 2020 concerning Parliamentary Rules of Procedure and applicable mechanisms,” Puan stated.
