The leadership of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) received the Indonesian Non-Civil Servant Teachers Advocacy Forum (FAGRI). They raised concerns about the resolution of the status of non-ASN teachers, particularly in 2027.

The meeting took place at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (26/8/2026). The DPR leaders in attendance were Deputy Speakers Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Saan Mustopa, and Sari Yuliati.

FAGRI Chairman Ahmad Farwiz Nasution stated that extensive discussions had been held regarding the resolution of the status of non-ASN teachers. He expressed hope that certainty over their status would soon be realised.

“We have provided substantial input and engaged in discussions. We hope that the resolution of non-ASN honorary teachers can be properly implemented this year,” Ahmad said after the meeting.

Meanwhile, FAGRI Deputy Chairman Aminuddin said his side is still awaiting certainty over the status of non-ASN teachers. This is because, to date, there has been no clarity on their status.

“So this year we are actually waiting for news on the certainty of non-ASN teachers. Because previously, in Circular Letter Number 7 of 2026, we were only given certainty until 31 December 2026,” Aminuddin said.

Aminuddin noted that recently attention had been focused solely on part-time and full-time PPPK teachers. For this reason, his side wants to seek certainty for non-ASN teachers in 2027.

“That is why we came here with the aim of seeking that certainty, to know what will happen to us in 2027,” he said.
