In the presidential letter, President Prabowo proposed Destry Damayanti as the sole candidate for the position of Governor of Bank Indonesia. Puan also revealed the other candidates for the remaining positions.
“One candidate for Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia is Mrs. Aida S. Budiman. And two names for Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, namely Mr. Solihin M. Juhro and Mr. M. Anwar Bashori,” Puan stated in an official release.
Puan assured that all names would be processed according to the applicable mechanisms and regulations within the DPR. She noted that the selection and approval process would determine which candidates are ultimately appointed to the Board of Governors before being inaugurated by the President.
“After the opening of the session, we will process these names according to the existing mechanisms in the DPR. We will select and approve the names to be chosen for later inauguration by the President,” she said.
