DPR Plenary Approves 7 Central Information Commission Members, Here is the List
The plenary session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) today approved seven members of the Central Information Commission (KIP). The meeting was held at the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday and was chaired by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani.
Deputy Chairman of Commission I DPR RI, Dave Laksono, reported the results of the fit and proper test for 19 candidates for the KIP. He stated that the commission ultimately agreed on seven selected candidates.
“Commission I DPR RI has held a closed internal meeting to select seven candidates for the Central Information Commission,” Dave stated.
Puan then asked for the approval of the attending members, who unanimously agreed. “Regarding the report of Commission I DPR RI on the results of the fit and proper test which decided on seven elected candidates for the Central Information Commission for the 2026-2030 period and three candidates for interim replacement members of the Central Information Commission for the 2026-2030 period with the names that have been submitted, can this be approved?” Puan asked. “Agreed,” the attending members replied.
The seven approved members of the KIP are Arman Fauzi, Dery Hendryan, Edi Purwanto, Hafidhah, Handoko Agung Saputro, Joemarthine Chandra, and Rini Purwandari.
Previously, Commission I had conducted a fit and proper test for 19 candidates for the Central Information Commission. The assessment of the candidates was carried out comprehensively, considering integrity, capacity, independence, track record, and understanding of the substance. Dave Laksono explained that the selection process followed the applicable rules and regulations, and he expressed hope that the commissioners would possess integrity and independence.
