DPR–OJK Visit BEI Building to Check on the JCI's Condition

IQPlus, 19 May 2026 – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad visited the Jakarta Stock Exchange (BEI) in Jakarta on Tuesday to check on the current condition of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), which has been in a state of flux. Dasco visited the BEI building located in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) area together with Frederica Widyasari Dewi, the Chair of the Board of Commissioners of OJK, and Rosan Roeslani, who is the CEO of the Danantara investment management body and concurrently the Minister of Investment and Hilirisasi. Also present was Dony Oskaria, Head of the Regulatory Agency (BP) for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). They arrived at BEI around 10:30 a.m. WIB and went directly to the sixth floor to meet BEI officials. However, Dasco and the other officials did not comment on the purpose of their visit. The JCI on Tuesday moved lower as market participants adopted a wait-and-see stance regarding the direction of Bank Indonesia’s policy rate. (end/ant)
