DPR Never Received BGN Budget Reports, Issues Warning to Nanik S Deyang
Deputy Chairman of Commission IX of the DPR RI, Yahya Zaini, expressed his concern regarding the designation of suspects and the detention of the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), namely Dadan Hindayana, along with two former deputies, namely Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, in connection with a corruption case within the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
“We respect the ongoing legal process while upholding the principle of presumption of innocence until the court proves that all three are guilty under the law,” said Yahya Zaini when contacted on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Yahya Zaini emphasized that Commission IX of the DPR RI had never received budget reports from BGN, nor information regarding the procurement of goods carried out for the implementation of the MBG program.
Therefore, Yahya and the members of Commission IX of the DPR RI will monitor more closely the use of the budget by BGN in the future.
“Commission IX has never received reports and information regarding the procurement of goods carried out by BGN. In the future, Commission IX will increase oversight of the use of the budget by BGN,” said Yahya.
“So that budget management is carried out prudently and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,” he added.
He also warned the new head of BGN, namely Nanik S Deyang, and her deputies, Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono, to be more careful in using the BGN budget. The aim is to ensure greater transparency and prevent corruption.
“I urge the new head of BGN and officials within BGN to be careful in using the budget, it must be clean and free from corruption,” he concluded.
It is known that President Prabowo Subianto removed Dadan Hindayana as head of the National Nutrition Agency, effective since Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
The dismissal was announced by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, who is also the Presidential Spokesperson, in a press conference at the Presidential Office, the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday evening.
“Today, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the President has decided to make a change in the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency,” said Prasetyo.
Dadan was replaced by Nanik S. Deyang, who previously served as deputy head of BGN.
At the same time, the President also appointed Agustina Arumsari as the new deputy head of BGN, replacing Lodewijk Pusung, and Major General TNI Trenggono as deputy head, replacing Sony Sonjaya.
