DPR Member Gus Hilman Suffers Broken Left Leg in Paspro Toll Road Accident

Alhamdulillah, Hilman has passed the critical phase following surgery to insert a plate in his left leg. He suffered a broken left leg,” Jazilul told reporters on Sunday (24 May 2026).

Jazilul stated that Hilman was visiting his electoral district when the incident occurred. He is a DPR member representing East Java II, which includes Pasuruan Regency, Pasuruan City, Probolinggo Regency, and Probolinggo City.

“Hilman was involved in an accident while on duty in the Probolinggo-Pasuruan regional district,” he added.

Two people were confirmed dead in the incident. They were Hilman’s expert staff and aides, Alex Anwaruh and Adinda Najwa.

“Two of his staff also perished in the tragedy,” Jazilul added.

The accident occurred on Saturday (23 May) at approximately 3:14 PM WIB, involving a Toyota Innova and a dump truck.

“According to the timeline, the Innova was travelling east to west. It is suspected that the driver was inattentive or drowsy, causing it to collide with the dump truck ahead,” said Probolinggo City Traffic Police Unit Head Aipda Taufik.

The Toyota Innova had four occupants, including Gus Hilman and his two staff members, Alex Anwaruh and Adinda Najwa. The vehicle was driven by a driver named Mahrus Ali.
