DPR Legislative Body Meets with Government to Continue Discussions on Agrarian Reform Bill

The Legislative Body (Baleg) of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) held a working meeting with the government to discuss the list of problems (DIM) regarding the Bill on Agrarian Reform Regulation. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej and Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Ossy Derwand.

The meeting took place in the Baleg DPR meeting room, Jakarta, on Friday (18/09/2026). The session was directly led by the Chairman of Baleg DPR, Bob Hasan, and the Vice Chairman of Baleg DPR, Iman Sukri.

“Today’s working group meeting will continue until 5:00 PM WIB, and if it is not finished, it will be continued according to the meeting’s agreement; can this be approved?” asked Iman Sukri to open the meeting.

“Agreed,” replied the meeting forum.

Iman stated that the working group meeting on Thursday (17/09) had already discussed part of the DIM for the Agrarian Reform Regulation Bill. Today, he noted, the working group would continue yesterday’s discussions.

“We need to inform you that yesterday’s working group meeting had discussed up to DIM number 286; therefore, today we will continue the discussion with the government,” said Iman.
