The Legislation Body (Baleg) of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has received 417 Problem Inventory Lists (DIM) from the government regarding the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (RUU PPRT). Following the receipt of these DIMs, Baleg DPR has begun Level I discussions.

“Based on the recapitulation of the Problem Inventory Lists (DIM) from the government on the RUU PPRT, the total number of DIMs is 417, but do not be surprised by this figure of 417 DIMs yet, as it turns out they consist of 290 DIMs for the main body and 127 explanations with details,” said the Chairman of Baleg DPR, Bob Hasan, during a working meeting with Manpower Minister Yassierli at Baleg DPR, DPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (20/4/2026).

Bob then revealed the details of the DIMs, consisting of 204 fixed DIMs, 6 new substance DIMs, 10 substantive change DIMs, 52 editorial change DIMs, and 18 deletion DIMs. The explanation section consists of 54 fixed DIMs, 16 new substance DIMs, 55 editorial DIMs, and 1 deletion DIM.

Bob then conveyed that there are two agendas that need to be agreed upon after receiving the DIMs from the government. The first agenda concerns the draft schedule for RUU discussion meetings, and the second concerns the mechanism for Level I discussions of the RUU.

“For that reason, in accordance with the convention for discussing RUU at Level I, there are two agendas that need to be agreed upon: one is the approval of the draft schedule for RUU discussion meetings, and two is the approval of the RUU discussion mechanism in Level I discussions. Can both agendas be approved?” asked Bob.

“Agreed,” responded the Baleg DPR forum.

Bob stated that the RUU PPRT DIMs will begin to be discussed today. He questioned whether this plan can be approved.

“It is hoped that the discussions will be completed as per the meeting schedule. Regarding the meeting schedule, of course, everything is today, but it will be read out later. Can the meeting schedule be approved?” asked Bob.

“Agreed,” responded the forum.

Next, Bob questioned the mechanism for discussing the DIMs. He asked the Baleg members and the government whether fixed DIMs can be directly approved in the meeting. The government and Baleg members agreed.

“We propose that fixed DIMs can be directly approved in this working meeting, and for the other DIMs, discussions will be directly conducted by the sub-working group. For that, we request the government’s approval. Can it be approved?” asked Bob.

“Agreed,” said the Baleg members and the government.
