DPR Legislation Body Agrees to Establish New Special Body through Indonesia One Data Bill
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Legislation Body (Baleg) of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has agreed to the establishment of a new special body to implement Indonesia One Data (SDI) through the Indonesia One Data Bill (RUU).
The agreement was expressed by the Chairman of Baleg DPR RI, Bob Hasan, during a working committee (panja) meeting on drafting the Indonesia One Data Bill on Wednesday (15/4/2026).
“Before from the TA team, I provided input that we have agreed there is one body that carries out the process of implementing Indonesia One Data,” said Bob during the panja meeting at the DPR RI Building.
“I think the SDI organiser consists of: A. SDI office, B. data guardian, data producer, data custodian, and data user,” said Bob Hasan.
Bob explained that the position of the SDI coordinator in the concept currently being discussed is considered to resemble a standalone body.
Therefore, the option to establish a special body is one of those being considered in the Bill.
“This SDI coordinator already resembles, resembles a body for this Indonesia One Data,” he stated.
“So, the explanation is that the SDI body is a certain body, meaning if this is not a minister, right? For now, that’s it,” Bob concluded.
For information, Baleg DPR RI is currently beginning to draft the Indonesia One Data Bill, which is a DPR initiative proposal.
According to Dasco, discrepancies in data between agencies have often caused obstacles in the field, particularly in disaster management.
“Thus, in the field, there is also a lack of synchronisation when providing assistance to evacuees,” said Dasco at the DPR RI Building.
In addition, data inconsistencies also occur in social assistance programmes up to health insurance services.
