DPR Holds Plenary Session to Discuss 2027 State Budget, 316 Members Present

The DPR held its second plenary session of the first sitting period of the 2026-2027 session year. A total of 316 DPR members attended the plenary session.

The session was held at the Nusantara II building of the MPR/DPR/DPD complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (18/8/2026). The plenary session was chaired by Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

Other DPR leaders were also present, namely Deputy Speakers Sari Yuliati and Saan Mustopa. Dasco stated that 316 members of the House were present at the plenary session.

“According to the records of the Secretariat General, the attendance list at the start of today’s plenary session has been signed by 316 members present,” said Dasco.

“Thus, the quorum has been reached, and by saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, allow us as the leadership of the House to open the second plenary session of the DPR RI for the first sitting period of the 2026-2027 session year on Tuesday, August 2026, and we declare it open and open to the public,” he continued.

The agenda for today’s session was the presentation of the general views of the factions on the Bill on the State Budget for the 2027 fiscal year. This was followed by the determination of faction membership in the DPR RI’s bodies for the 2026-2027 session year.

In addition, the swearing-in of interim replacement members (PAW) of the DPR RI and MPR RI for the 2024-2029 term was also carried out.
