DPR Holds Plenary Session to Close Parliamentary Term, 293 Members in Attendance
The House of Representatives (DPR) held its 14th plenary session to mark the closure of the third sitting period of the 2025-2026 parliamentary year. A total of 293 DPR members were in attendance.
The session took place in the plenary hall of the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (19 February 2026). The plenary was chaired by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani.
Also present were other members of the DPR leadership: Deputy Speakers Saan Mustopa, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and Sari Yuliati. Puan began proceedings by reading out the attendance record.
“According to records from the DPR Secretariat General, the attendance register at the start of today’s plenary session has been signed by 293 members, with 26 members on leave, out of 579 DPR members. All factions in the DPR were represented,” Puan said.
“Accordingly, a quorum has been achieved, and with the words bismillahirrahmanirrahim, allow us as the House leadership to open the 14th plenary session of the third sitting period of the 2025-2026 parliamentary year on Thursday, 19 February 2026, and we declare it open to the public,” she continued.
The agenda for the day’s plenary session was the formal closure of the sitting period. In addition, the following items were also on the agenda:
- A report from Commission I of the DPR on the approval of foreign defence equipment procurement, followed by a decision.
- The DPR Speaker’s address at the closure of the third sitting period of 2025-2026.
