Cucun praised the Hajj arrangements by the government of President Prabowo Subianto this year. He said regular pilgrims could enjoy five-star hotels in Madinah. ‘Because there is a new breakthrough in how we handle Hajj pilgrims that prioritises being more familial, with service delivered wholeheartedly including accommodation that is historic in our republic, where regular pilgrims can be housed in five-star hotels around the Masjid Nabawi,’ he said. ‘We from the 2026 DPR Hajj Timwas commend the government, indeed President Prabowo has truly delivered a state that serves the pilgrims performing Hajj so that they feel comfortable and feel that the state is present to serve them,’ he added. Meanwhile, DPR Hajj Timwas member Andre Rosiade said that it is the first time in history that regular Hajj pilgrims are housed in five-star hotels while in Madinah. ‘This is the first time in history, under President Prabowo’s era, regular Hajj pilgrims are housed in five-star hotels in Madinah,’ Andre Rosiade said. Andre said that in the 2026 Hajj season, 8,507 pilgrims will be housed in five-star hotels in Madinah. Some of the hotels used include: - Hilton Madinah Hotel: 720 pilgrims. - Dallah Taibah Hotel: 1,360 pilgrims. - Dar Al Iman InterContinental Hotel: 289 pilgrims. - Millennium Al Aqeeq Hotel: 1,600 pilgrims. - Moyzan Al Harithia Hotel: 1,300 pilgrims. - Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah: 1,052 pilgrims. - Millennium Taibah: 1,283 pilgrims. - InterContinental Dar Al Hijra: 903 pilgrims. The farthest distance is approximately 700 metres from Masjid Nabawi. ‘This is something to be praised, that the improvement in performance and service for Hajj pilgrims continues to be refined and deserves praise,’ said Andre. Andre stated that this Indonesian government policy is one of the improvements in managing Hajj. He commended the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the move. ‘This is the first time in the history of Hajj implementation in Indonesia that regular pilgrims receive five-star hotels. That is worth praising as it demonstrates improved service performance by the Ministry of Hajj,’ he added.
