DPR Hajj Working Team Applauds Mecca Route Service for Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims

It is understood that the Mecca Route service or fast track is a facility to accelerate and transfer the Saudi immigration process, conducted directly at the departure airports in Indonesia. Danang Wicaksana said that with this service, pilgrims no longer undergo immigration checks upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. According to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) member from the Gerindra faction, the service provides great convenience for prospective pilgrims, particularly in reducing queue times and travel administration. Typically, immigration processes that were previously conducted in Saudi Arabia are now moved to Indonesia, making the pilgrims’ journey more efficient and comfortable. Danang regards this service innovation as a form of improving the quality of Hajj administration with direct impact on pilgrims’ comfort, especially for the elderly and pilgrims with certain health conditions. “In addition to speeding up entry into Saudi Arabia, the fast-track service is also considered able to reduce congestion at arrival airports in Saudi Arabia and help ensure smooth mobility of pilgrims during the sequence of Hajj rites,” he said. The Hajj Working Team of the Indonesian DPR hopes the Mecca Route service can be further enhanced and expanded to all embarkations. This is so that more Indonesian Hajj pilgrims can feel its benefits in the next Hajj season.
