The DPR’s Hajj Oversight Team for 2026 has identified new issues regarding the 2026 Hajj operations, specifically concerning tent facilities for pilgrims in Mina. The findings emerged during a visit by team member Muhammad Husni to the tent facilities for the first Medan embarkation group (KNO), where he observed many pilgrims forced to sleep outside the tents.

“This is a note for the Ministry of Hajj. The tents’ capacity and size must ensure all pilgrims are accommodated inside. These pilgrims have waited decades and must be properly served,” he said in Mina on Wednesday (27 May).

Husni stated the findings would be recorded by the DPR’s Hajj Oversight Team for the government. “We will summon the Ministry of Hajj. It must be clear that what was deemed safe is not actually safe,” he added.
