DPR Deputy Speaker Dasco Leads Government Meeting on Ride-Hailing Presidential Regulation
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad chaired a coordination meeting with government officials at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, 23 July 2026, to discuss the follow-up to the drafting of a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) on online ride-hailing services (ojol). The meeting brought together several ministries and agencies to align the government’s approach in formulating regulations that provide legal certainty for the app-based transport ecosystem. Government representatives in attendance included Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, Chief Operating Officer of Danantara and Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Agency Dong Oskaria, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria. The meeting addressed various aspects that will form the substance of the Perpres, including strengthening protections for driver partners, ensuring certainty in the partnership relationship between application companies and drivers, sustaining the business climate, and coordinating across ministries for policy implementation.
