DPR Deputy Speaker Dasco Leads Coordination Meeting with State Secretary and Labour Leaders on Potential Layoffs
Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad chaired a coordination meeting to discuss mitigation efforts regarding potential layoffs (PHK) at several companies. The government and the DPR are currently preparing anticipatory measures to address the situation.
The coordination meeting was attended by Dasco and fellow Deputy Speaker Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal at the DPR building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (26/6/2026). The meeting also involved State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Manpower Minister Yassierli, President of the All-Indonesia Workers Union Confederation (KSPSI) Andi Gani, and the President’s Special Advisor for Manpower and Labour Welfare, Said Iqbal.
Dasco stated that the meeting was held to discuss the task force for mitigating layoffs involving the government and the DPR. He noted that the meeting was attended by the State Secretary as the head of the layoff mitigation task force, the Manpower Minister, the President of the Labour Union, and the National Police’s labour desk.
He added that from the discussions, several points would be conveyed by each party so that the public and workers could gain a clearer understanding. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi expressed gratitude to the DPR for facilitating the discussion. He mentioned that his team had mapped out companies with the potential for layoffs and was preparing strategic steps to address the issue.
