The leadership and members of DPR Commission XIII arrived at the Class IIA Cibinong Prison in Bogor. They began an inspection of the ‘luxury cluster’, a facility that has previously caused public outcry.
According to observations, the Commission XIII DPR delegation began their inspection of the luxury cluster complex at Cibinong Prison on Wednesday (30/09/2026) at approximately 10:45 WIB. The parliamentary group was led by the Vice Chairmen of Commission XIII, Sugiat Santoso, Dewi Asmara, and Andreas Hugo Pareira.
The leaders of Commission XIII were seen walking towards the luxury cluster accompanied by the Director General of Corrections. They proceeded to inspect the individual houses within the luxury cluster one by one.
For context, the planned visit by Commission XIII DPR was confirmed directly by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. Dasco stated that Commission XIII visited Cibinong Prison to cross-reference data provided during previous meetings.
“Commission XIII DPR has held meetings with the Ministry of Immigration regarding issues within the prison system. We have received information from Commission XIII that they wish to reconcile the data provided during meetings with the facts on the ground,” said Dasco during a press conference at the DPR in Jakarta on Tuesday (29/09).
